Youth aged 15-26 from across Canada are invited to register for See Different's free training and certification program. Whether you're looking to enhance your understanding of DEI, become a leader in your community, or join a network of like-minded people, See Different offers support and resources to help you on your journey.

Certificate 1: Principles of DEI

Total time required: 8 hours

In the Principles of DEI certificate, participants will learn about different dimensions of diversity, DEI language and terminology, and build their understanding of the cycle of bias and Canada’s history of systemic racism and discrimination. Principles of DEI consists of two workshops (2.5 hours each), pre-workshop activities, and a final assignment (action plan).

Certificate 2:
Emerging Leaders of DEI

Total time required: 12 hours

In the Emerging Leaders of DEI certificate, participants will develop a deeper knowledge of the topics of unconscious bias, power and privilege, allyship, cultural humility, and social action, culminating in the Changemaker project. Emerging Leaders of DEI consists of three workshops (2.5 hours each), pre-work activities, and a final assignment (Changemaker project).

Workshop 3 – Creating change – Social movements and youth action 

Once youth have completed both certificates, they will have access to our:

National Youth Ambassador Network

Our National Youth Ambassador Network allows youth to continue their journey in DEI leadership, connect with peers, and gain access to exclusive opportunities.

Changemaker grants

Youth who complete the program are invited to put their learning into action with our Changemaker grants! Successful applicants receive funding and ongoing support to implement a project in their school or community that addresses a barrier to equity and inclusion.
